Traumatic Hip Dislocation

The hip joint can slip out of proper alignment if an excessive outside force is placed on the joint. Trauma to the hip can occur due to falls, car accidents, or impact with another person or object. Proper alignment is necessary for children to develop the ability to walk correctly.

Symptoms

  • Limping
  • Pain in the area directly surrounding the hip
  • Less flexibility on one side of the hip
